Wedding Bells are ready to ring as the world prepares to watch the marriage of Prince William and (soon-to-be Princess) Kate. The wedding is scheduled to air Friday, April 29, 2011 at 6:00AM/5:00AM Central, so if you can’t tune in while you’re on break, set your DVR at home!
I’m sure there’s at least one person that wants to know, why is this such a Big Deal? Well, this is the first royal wedding in 20 years, since Prince Charles & Princess Diana. Secondly, it’s not often that almost 2,000 dignitaries, monarchs,
and political leaders get together for an -actual- celebration. Thirdly, how often do we get to see a future king get married? It is sure to be quite glamorous, gaudy, and over-the-top luxe…which would make most Scrubinista’s fancy become quite tickled.
So, the big question is: How will you celebrate the big Royal Wedding? Personally, I won’t be watching at exactly 5:00AM CDT to watch the events happen live, but if you’re on the way home from work/on the way to work, you can tune in to E! or The Royal Channel and listen in. Wear a tiara for the day (and a boa if you dare). If you want to have food fun, you could definitely throw a small party with your co-workers who share the Wedding Fever. These unique snacks (linked to recipes from Betty Crocker®) are the must-have cure for a delicious Royal Wedding Day. After all, if the newlyweds are having a post-royal wedding feast, why can’t we?
A very nice thing to note is that the couple isn’t using all this press about their upcoming matrimony all for themselves. Very prominent on their royal wedding website is a place where anyone can make a monetary donation to Prince William’s charity which focuses it’s funds to 6 areas, primarily helping children and future generations. Here’s the charity’s website with more information.
If you’re planning on doing anything fun or interesting, let us know. Have a great weekend! Until next time…
